Bewdley is an attractive Georgian town which sits upon the river Severn, in beautiful countryside with a rich agricultural and industrial history. Bewdley is a gateway to the Wyre Forest and the English –Welsh borderlands known as The Marches. Bewdley is aptly taken from the French term ‘Beau Lieu’, indeed it is a ‘beautiful place’, and a great area to explore!
Bewdley is packed with charm, there’s a landscape in the town of listed buildings. Bewdley Museum in Load Street is where you can see local crafts people at work, adjacent to the wonderful Jubilee Gardens and Community Orchard.
Bewdley boasts an award-winning Tourist Information Centre where staff help you make the most of your visit including discounted tickets to major events and attractions which often include
West Midland Safari Park and The Severn Valley Railway.
