For steam enthusiasts, historians and those who love a day out to remember, there’s the Severn Valley Railway running from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth.  With regular trains stopping at Hampton Loade, Highley, Arley and Bewdley – all areas well worth exploring.  As the settings for movies and TV shows, the Victoria Bridge featured in The Thirty Nine Steps and the stations have appeared in Enola Holmes, Goodnight Mister Tom and BBC Sherlock Holmes.  The line remains largely run by passionate volunteers keeping over 160 years of steam heritage alive.
